The backstory:
Several years ago a dear friend of mine found a favorite old photograph she had taken, of her now-grown children. She wanted me to create an oil painting from the photo. Before I finished the first painting, I suddenly felt compelled to start a second study. The second painting is the one my friend purchased. BTW ... Not long ago, with digital tools I created a third rendition of these same children. Expressions in sepia colors reminding of days gone. Each rendition has its own special story. And the mother’s heart is filled with joy.
