Studio Visits, Sunshine, and Sparkle – Miss Mary is Shining Bright!

Today was full of meaningful connections and creative progress.

Aileen Brandt-Merling, my dear artist friend, is wrapping up her visit. I will truly miss her beautiful spirit, bright smile, and steady encouragement. This morning, we had the chance to meet up for breakfast with a mutual mentor who has been a guiding light in both of our journeys—Jules Vanden Berge, my first-ever personal and business coach. Years ago, Jules helped me dive deep into my purpose, face challenges with courage, and own my path as an artist. Today, she came to the studio with her husband to take a peek at Miss Mary, and once again, she revitalized my soul. What a full-circle moment.

Back at the studio, Aileen and I returned to the brush—painting, perfecting, and sharing stories. My husband, ever the faithful collaborator, was already there working. He’s been sanding the inside of the piano and today added a stunning touch of sparkle—a bit of bling that now shines subtly through the front panel. His craftsmanship continues to amaze me.

And just when I thought the day couldn’t get more heartwarming—Nancy Heins-Glaser arrived with another wonderful Fallbrook friend to see Miss Mary’s progress. Nancy even made a short video and snapped a photo of the three of us standing proudly in our sunglasses, laughing at how the piano’s brilliance nearly outshone the sun.
