The backstory:
One of my favorite places to paint is in the ballet studio—capturing contour, movement, and line. Besides the visual geometric stimulation, I love to put myself into the dancer’s perspective. I feel their body as it stretches and moves. In this piece I have captured four dancers, two turn one direction, two the other direction. All are focusing from their own point of view. The figures become smaller as they diminish in space, showing perspective in space. I have captured them with my own artistic perspective.
