The backstory:

The process of making the mold for bronzing is complex. Here goes ...

The original piece created in paperclay was next captured in a silicone mold. Hot wax was then poured and left to cool. Once cool, it was removed from the mold.

Once the cold wax was removed from the silicone mold, I used a torch and hot tools in order to add or refine details and add sprees and vents which which are needed for the pathway to pour hot Moreno metal into the final mold.

Is your head spinning yet? But WAIT! There’s more ... Stay tuned for the next process!
