The backstory:

Night was finally quiet. The house was readied for sleep. Activities had ceased, yet here I was doing my great work.

In the fall of 2005 I’d made a decision to begin again. It was time to revisit the learning process. I pulled out my easel, pencils, and drawing pad. What better way to reflect on the day. A self portrait.

And the Artist paints.
