Today I’m thankful for my feet.
They walk, and stand, and run.
I’m very fond of my two feet.
Best friends we have become.
They held me tall, when I was small.
They kicked and jumped with glee.
Through the years they did their job.
They’ve stayed right here with me.
And now as I advance in years,
I feel them getting tired.
They say “slow down, don’t go so fast”
(They might like to retire.)
But I’m still thankful, and I say
Some words of love and praise.
“You’ve been a joy to have around ...
I love you anyway(s).”
