#DailyGratitude - aging

The old lady stands proudly in the busy crowd. Her colorful green coat and jeweled decoration stands out from the ordinary.  As we pass by, a brief look makes us realize she is an extraordinary woman. Our heads turn. We stop and observe her more closely. Her antique clothing speaks of the past decade.  Fresh bright colors speak of her continuing courage—her fight to stay erect; her desire to be of value; her need to be loved. Suddenly we are not afraid of growing old. She shows us the beauty of the past, and the grace of aging.

Her picture tells a thousand words.
