Since the beginning of November, I have shared gratitude posts daily on social media. As I started to share, I my eyes began to open. I started to realize that I would never finish being grateful for all the people and experiences in my life. Each day as I awake, I have gratitude for who I am, and who I am becoming.

I am grateful for the earth and it's offering of life.

I am grateful for the amazing people that came before me. I am grateful for their inventions, their collaboration, their work.

I am grateful I was born into my family. I am grateful that I was raised by both parents. I am grateful for my siblings. I am grateful for my relatives.

I am grateful I was exposed to art at a young age. I am grateful for that little girl who brought her artwork into my second grade class. I'm grateful I bought her painting for a dime. I'm grateful my Dad showed me how to draw a house, and to look at trees to see how they grow so I could draw them.

I am grateful for my mother who taught me my first song on the piano.

I am grateful for my 5th grade teacher who taught me how to create a written report.

I'm grateful for my 6th grade home room teacher who let me paint a mural on a wall in the classroom and my art teacher who showed me how to create a sculpture with papermache.

I'm grateful for my 7th grade teacher who let me draw my book reports.

I'm grateful for my piano teacher who showed me how to improvise.

I am grateful for my high school art teachers who challenged my creativity.

I am grateful to be the first in my family to go to college.

I am grateful for the instruction and support from my professors.

I am grateful for my journey.

I am grateful I have learned and grown.

I am grateful for the past.

I am grateful for the present.

I am grateful to be a wife, mother, and grandmother.

I am grateful to be loved.
