"Traveling down Chevy Chase Boulevard in Glendale, California I found myself pulling over to the side of the road. Mesmerized by the feeling of the morning light splashing its colors on the homes and pavement, I knew this was the “sweet spot” for the day. It was a brisk morning, and my hands chilled as I began my work. By noon, I had captured the underpainting of what would become a special piece of life. The following week I returned to the same spot to add a few more details, and take photos to bring back to my studio. This was the second of two paintings done on this Boulevard.”
