1041 “Embellished Carousel”- fun at the fair series

Following my first carousel painting “under the canopy”, I decided to create another painting of the same scene, but in a larger format. This piece not only attempts to provide the viewer with more details of the structure, but also attempts to create an awareness of environment. In addition to the jewels on the horse, the foreground and canopy top are both embellished with items to help guide the viewer through the painting. One lone rider gallops off into the night. Finally, the background figures invite the viewer to join them as they take pleasure in the embellished merry-go-round.
