A simple scene. A familiar place. They gather to partake in an everyday activity...lunch. With my iPad and fingers I am poised...ready. I observe. I record. I interpret: a family. mom, dad, big sister and grandma. The twins sit on the other side of the table, ready for their serving of hotdog and soda. The busy noise of rolling carts and muffled voices are ignored. Only the sweet, spicy, and salty flavors of communion are acknowledged. I observe an insignificant moment. A precious treasure. The small intimate group ignores the outside world, as they focus on their nucleus. Family.
