The backstory:
Don’t you get the itching to go out and play? Living near the Pacific Ocean, going to the beach was a regular event when my kids were small. They loved finding seashells, digging holes in the sand, and chasing the waves. After they grew up, my beach trips became painting trips. This piece was begun “en plein air”, on Balboa Island—details finished in the studio. Yep ... I’m playing!
