The Backstory:
It’s so rewarding to see a colorful painting stand on its own without color. If this piece seems vaguely familiar, you may have already seen its beginnings a few days ago in another post. The original drawing was created with oil pastels on paper. You also may notice I changed a few things—the vase is now round instead of vertical, I added more flowers, and more flora. Imagine what you can’t see—hues of blue, red, orange, violet, and green.
