The backstory:
A family portrait, this diptych is a reflection of my life as a mother of an autistic child, a celebration of time passing, and a silent, hopeful wish for the future. The family gathers. The happy birthday song has been sung. The older sibling offers encouragement to blow out the candles. The friends are close by, joining the festivities. We all make our wish…
