"An inspiration for one of my “Huntington Sculpture Series” paintings, this marble sculpture, “Venus blindfolded by Cupid” was originally created in 1876 by the Italian sculptor, Federico Gaetano. On a excursion to the Huntington Library in San Marino, I discovered this beauty in the main statuary garden. It is the first statue as you enter the garden.”
