"The carnival at night, is a scene to behold. One evening, I discovered a discrete place to set up my easel and paint this scene at the L.A. County Fair. Large spotlights shown down on the passersby while the carnival lights blinked their vibrant colors. The ferris wheel, ticket booth, and vendors selling their wares, plus the smells and sounds of the "Fun Zone" surrounded me––couples walking hand in hand, families enjoy the night together, a security guard in the foreground. As I finished this piece in my studio, I couldn't leave out the merchant standing in the right-bottom corner.”
