"A warm, bright summer day in Pasadena, brought me to this icon of the city. I found comfort in the provision of cool shade from the tree overhead. City Hall hid its beauty behind the vegetation and street signs. The detailed, front entrance was blocked from view by parked vehicles. The bright blue sky, the adjacent buildings, and the brilliant summer foliage bounced color onto light poles and parking meters. The sidewalk glowed of warm sunshine. The tree’s edges shimmered with color. It was as if the world was on fire."

p.s. (As you see in this photo, I first painted two men walking on the sidewalk. Taking "Artistic License" I decide to remove them--yes, with a coat of paint they disappeared from sight. If you get a chance to see the new rendition, the sidewalk is an open pathway to the entrance of this magnificent building. Let me know what you think!)
