The dinner was over, dishes cleaned and put away. Now for a time I enjoyed immensely. In anticipation, I sat on the couch with my camera, waiting for the chance to capture reference for a future painting. I'd already been creating art for over 20 years, searching for the subject, medium and inspiration to create my "perfect masterpiece". I'd learned to work with several different medium by this time in my life, (including watercolor, acrylic and oil), and what I painted or sculpted varied; however, my inspiration came from moments like these. As the music began, a warm, fuzzy feeling suddenly came over me. Here in front of me were two of the most precious masterpieces I had ever created. These creations, full of life, energy, and love filled my heart and soul. They spun, twirled and leapt to the music coming from the cassette player. They took turns posing in front of the camera. I felt my eyes well up with affection as I obligingly click the camera to capture their stance.
